A princess to those that stood below her and a goddess to those that she surrounded herself with. Her attitude clearly showed her sense of entitlement while displaying a regal girl from one of the best families in all of England. Unmatched by those outside of her house but within her social circle she was just a girl with many secrets that went untold. Her secrets were the things of rumors and of legends both inside and outside the pureblood community but the Parker family kept it all closely guarded. The pressure to keep her mouth locked tight was astronomical; although she doubted that anyone would believe her if she did tell someone. Who would believe that Thomas Parker hated his own daughter and would raise his wand or hand to her if given the chance? Obviously no one within the pureblood community since all of the abuse would happen behind closed doors. No visible marks were ever left on her milky white skin but emotionally Alice was gone. A plastered smile on her face as she entered the common room from her dorm room but then that slowly faded to a blank expression when she reached the hallway. Normally she would be heading down to the dining hall for dinner with the rest of her house mates but not tonight. Skipping dinner had become a nasty habit for Alice but she no longer felt hungry. As her insomnia continued to get worse her desire to eat died away and her normally petite body was fading. Alice kept walking right past the dining hall and up the nearest staircase. Each step felt like her feet had been strapped to cinder blocks but she kept climbing and going higher up until she reached one of the many towers within Hogwarts. Then she kept going up the stairs to the very top.
She needed to breathe and she needed fresh air to do so. The air at the top of the tower just sounded so refreshing because she knew that it would be cold and more pure than the air that filled the Slytherin Dungeon. Finally she reached the top and quickly pushed open the door that lead to the once used classroom that now sat vacant and empty. The windows had been closed and the room appeared as though it had not seen the light of lively students for several years but Alice had discovered it one evening in her wandering. It was the perfect place to just hide away for a few hours while no one took notice of you. As Alice entered she allowed the wooden door to slam behind her as she moved quickly across the room with a new sense of energy. The window was easy enough to throw open as the room flooded with the freezing cold air of October at night time. The sun had disappeared beyond the horizon so the air was that of the early evening. Alice took a deep breath and felt the chilly sting as it filled her lungs up. A weak smile appeared in the corner of her lips but otherwise Alice remained stationary in the cold air. The black sweater was thick and protected her from breeze. It was the only sort of protect she got from anything other than what her uncle did. He protected her from her father and her mother but she could not hide like a little child anymore. Alice had long since passed childhood and entered into her teenage years were everyone was ruthless and looking for weakness. Girls were harsh and if you did not fit in now then forget about every finding yourself.
The window was large in front of her and must have reached from just above the ground to the ceiling in a point. Very typical architecture of a castle as old as Hogwarts. Below the window was a very long drop to the cold earth below but Alice peered out slightly to see just how it would feel to look down at her own death. How would it feel to fall so far? Heights were never really her thing and flying on a broomstick was not one of her strengths so after just a moment she stepped back away from the window. As she stepped back she heard the door begin to squeak open as the rusty hinges were forced open. Someone had followed her up here and she hoped that they had not seen her little stunt as she stood on the window ledge. Her posture straightened up since she could not be seen at her worst. Of course she was nowhere near her best at the moment and had not been for the past few weeks. Ever since the secret party she had not been the same. Having the ability to let go that night had been so freeing but caused Alice to sleep further down as she approached rock bottom since she no longer had such freedom.
Now she waited for the door to fully open and reveal the person that had followed her. She felt a bit of anger that someone would be so rude as to follow her and invade her privacy in such a manner but it was hard to stay mad at someone when she longed for companionship. She longed for someone who would understand her and not judge her like her pureblooded friends. Her hands slipped into her pockets in a casual manner but she remained standing tall and proud. What did she have to be proud of anymore? Her body was wasting away and her mind was no longer focuses as her nightmares haunted her more and more. The smile disappeared completely as she waited for the big reveal of her mystery companion.
